Bruins' Savard leaves game on stretcher

03/07/2010 - Pittsburgh, PA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Boston Bruins forward Marc Savard left Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Penguins on a stretcher after being drilled by Pittsburgh's Matt Cooke.

Cooke, who is known for his physical nature, caught an unsuspecting Savard in the head with a shoulder moments after he released a shot from the high slot.

Savard lay motionless for several minutes while being attended to by the medical staff. He was eventually taken off the ice on a stretcher.

No penalty was called on the play, which occurred with 5:37 remaining in the third period.

Points (or Runs) Scored

Another bet across all major team sports including football, basketball, baseball, and hockey involves wagering on the amount of scoring in a game, called an Over/Under total. For example, the Over/Under total on Super Bowl XXXIX was 48, which means a bettor could wager whether there would be more or less than 48 points scored by both teams combined in the game.
